Volkswagen Jetta now in India

Volkswagen Group has launched their latest model Jetta here in India.

VW Jetta is their latest sedan model to appear on the Indian roads. The company also sells cars through their Skoda and Audi brands.

The company said that they are now working on launching a compact car based on the Polo platform in India in 2010.

VW India’s Joerg Mueller said in a statement: “We are following the top-down strategy and plan to straddle every segment of the Indian car market.”

They are also going to bring to India their Phaeton sedan in addition to Tiguan sports utility vehicle.
