Rambler Media sells Begun advertising agency to Google
Rambler Media has announced that they are now selling their Begun advertising agency to Google.
The deal is worth around USD 140 million.
The company added that they are also signing a deal with the search engine giant to use their technologies on their Rambler Internet portal.
Rambler.ru would now use Google search and advertising technologies.
Mohammad Gawdat, Google’s managing director for emerging markets added in a statement on this new deal: “This agreement illustrates our commitment to investing in Russia, where online advertising is currently experiencing rapid growth.”
Rambler said that they would use these funds to finance its investment program and potential acquisitions.
