Nokia completes acquisition of Plazes
Mobile phone maker Nokia has announced that they have now completed the acquisition of mobile social networking company Plazes.
They had announced this deal last month and it has now been completed.
This deal further enhances Nokia’s internet services which they have been working on since quite some time now.
Plazes enables the mobile user to plan, record, and share their social activities using GPS and Wi-Fi services on their devices.
Niklas Savander, head of Nokia services and software spoke about the deal: “This acquisition helps Nokia to accelerate its vision of bringing people and places closer together, in line with our broader service strategies.”
