Caparo Group to bring Caparo T1 super car to India

Caparo Group owned by Lord Swraj Paul has formed a new subsidiary, which now has plans to manufacture a 1000 BHP ‘Super Car’. This car should be out in the market by the end of the year and would be marketed in the Indian market!

The company has decided to name this upcoming car, Caparo T1. And it is expected to be priced in the range of 150,000 pounds. Caparo Group claims that this car would have all the major features of a racing car.

To continue with this ambitious project, they recently acquired automotive consultancy firm started by Ben Scott-Geddess and Graham Halstead. These two individuals have been part of the team, which developed the famous McLaren F1.

This new subsidiary of the group would be headed by Lord Paul’s son Angad. He said in a statement on the company’s plan to develop this super car: “I warmly welcome this opportunity for the group to move up the value chain with this high value added proposition. We will use our vehicle technology company to add new material know-how to our existing aluminum and steel structural capabilities.”
