Microsoft acquiring DATAllegro
Software giant Microsoft has announced that they are now acquiring privately held maker of data-warehouse appliances DATAllegro.
The two companies did not reveal the financial aspects of this deal which would further boost Microsoft’s SQL Server database platform.
Microsoft said that they would retain most of the employees of the company. DATAllegro would continue to operate from their current office located in Aliso Viejo, California.
The company added that they would use the expertise of this new subsidiary to extend the capabilities of SQL Server for enterprise customers.
