Pat Russo and Serge Tchuruk to leave Alcatel-Lucent
Alcatel-Lucent has posted disastrous results and the company is taking strong steps to mend their position in the market.
The company has announced that both their Chairman and CEO are leaving the company by the end of the year.
Company Chief Executive Pat Russo would be leaving the company before 2009 and Chairman Serge Tchuruk would be out by October.
Market analyst Niclas von Stackelberg spoke about these new developments: “This is a public admission, if ever one was still needed, that the merger was a failure.”
Another analyst Alexander Peterc added: “These departures are not a total surprise. It is a good thing that the company can now move forward and put behind it the differences between the Lucent parts and Alcatel side.”
