Comcast and NetZero announces their plans to block child porn
US based internet service providers Comcast and NetZero have announced their plans to join the list of ISPs which are going to block access to child porn.
This was confirmed by the New York Attorney General’s office.
This happened after Comcast was threatened by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo that he would sue the company if they do not accept their demands to block online access to child porn.
Cuomo stated about the new developments: “I commend the companies for working with my office to aggressively eradicate online child pornography and strongly urge all outstanding Internet service providers across New York and the nation to get on board.”
AOL, AT&T and Time Warner Cable have already accepted the demands and are now blocking online groups which offer child pornography content.
