Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines increases ticket prices

Indian airline companies Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines have both announced a hike in their ticket prices.

The fares have been increased by as much as 10%.

Jet Airways said in a statement that they are increasing the ticket prices by 10% for the economy class and 5% for its premier business class.

Kingfisher has increased the ticket prices by 10% across the board.

Air India too is said to be considering increasing the prices of their tickets.

Kingfisher Airlines added: “A 10% hike in basic fares will be effective from Friday morning. All fresh tickets issued after midnight will bear higher fares. We have spared passengers of any increase in fuel surcharge and there is no change in taxes and surcharge at this moment.”
