Nokia invests more in Nokia Growth Partners
Mobile phone maker Nokia has announced that they would be investing an additional $150 million into its venture investment arm Nokia Growth Partners.
With this they have totally invested $250 million in this unit.
This unit of Nokia works on finding emerging Internet services from China and India.
John Gardner, partner at Nokia Growth Partners added on this additional investment: “The investment allows us to act on a global basis.”
They are now planning to invest in 8 to 10 new firms each year.
Nokia has been becoming more and more active in the mobile internet services market where they believe the future revenues lie.
