Jonathan Miller barred from joining Yahoo

Time Warner has said that they cannot allow their former AOL Chief Executive Jonathan Miller to join Yahoo’s Board.

The company said that a non-compete clause in his original contract prevents him from doing so.

Yahoo had previously named Miller as one of the potential new members on their board as part of their settlement with Billionaire investor Carl Icahn.

Time Warner said in a statement: “When Jon Miller signed his contract, it said that upon payout of the contract he could not work for a variety of competitors including Yahoo until March 2009.”

Market analysts say that this new development could harm the rumored talks between AOL and Yahoo for a possible collaborative deal.
