T-Mobile could launch 3G network in October this year
US based mobile service provider T-Mobile could launch their nationwide 3G network as soon as October this year.
The company had spent big money to acquire new spectrum in September 2006 and their customers have been waiting for them to launch this new generation network.
T-Mobile is the fourth largest mobile service provider in the US market and they need this new network to attract new customers.
The company has however already launched their UMTS/HSDPA network in New York City. This could be expanded to other cities in October.
