McAfee acquiring Reconnex
Security software maker McAfee has announced that they are now acquiring data protection appliances and software company Reconnex.
The deal is worth around US$46 million and it would be conducted in a cash transaction.
McAfee expects the deal to be complete by the end of September this year.
They would then integrate Reconnex technologies into their data protection business unit.
These products and services would be sold under the McAfee Adaptive Protection brand name.
Reconnex is based in Mountain View, California and has clients like Qualcomm, Medstar Health Systems and Webex.
