Hero Honda hoping that strike will not affect long-term sales
India’s largest maker of motorcycles Hero Honda has said in a statement that the worker’s strike at their plants in Gurgaon should not affect long-term sales of the company.
The company is however facing production loss due to the ongoing strike. A company representative said in a statement: “The strike (by contract workers) at the Gurgaon plant will not have any long term impact on sales. We are confident of making up for the production loss once the deadlock ends.”
Hero Honda added that the dealers have enough stock of their products and consumers won’t face any problem buying Hero Honda bikes and scooters. And they have plans to expand their productions to cover up for the current losses to keep the supplies in line.
The company further added that there is a significant quantity of products in transit to the dealerships. As per market estimates the production at the Hero Honda plants hover around 6,000 units per day. They are still talking with the on-strike workers to find out a solution to end the problems.
