Lenovo posts improved profits

Chinese PC manufacturer Lenovo has come out with their latest revenue report and the company has now posted a 65 percent improvement in their quarterly profits.

The company said that their profits in the most recent quarter came out to be $110 million, or $1.25 per share.

The sales were up 10 percent to $4.2 billion.

Lenovo Chairman Yang Yuanqing spoke about their improved performance: “Despite a softening global economy, we delivered solid gains in worldwide sales, PC shipments and profits.”

They are hoping to promote their brand at the upcoming Beijing Olympics where they are the only Chinese company among 12 worldwide partners of the International Olympic Committee.

Lenovo is also the supplier of computer equipment and technicians to the games.
