Tiffany to appeal ruling in eBay case

Tiffany & Co has confirmed that they would now be appealing the recent court ruling that went in favor of eBay.

The courts said that eBay was not responsible for checking for fake Tiffany jewelry sold on its website.

Tiffany has filed the appeal with the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

The original lawsuit was filed way back in 2004.

The courts ruled that the brands were responsible in protecting their trademarks and eBay cannot be held responsible for the actions of their users.
