Eddy Hartenstein is the new publisher of Los Angeles Times
Los Angeles Times has announced that they are naming Eddy Hartenstein as their new publisher.
Eddy Hartenstein is the former head of DirecTV.
He takes over this new position from next week.
Incidentally, he has no previous newspaper industry experience.
He is coming to LA Times at a time when newspaper companies are struggling due to falling advertising revenues.
More and more people are going online for news and newspapers are struggling to grow or maintain their readership.
