Maruti Suzuki to use K-Series engines on all their models

Maruti Suzuki has said that they are planning to upgrade the engines on all their cars in the next couple of years.

The company plans to launch their global car A Star in India with the new K-Series engine.

Maruti Suzuki claims that K-series engines are the most advanced in their stables and the same technology would be used in all of their cars in the future.

These engines are Euro 4 and Euro 5 compliant. India is scheduled to go Bharat 4 in 2010. Bharat 4 is based on Euro 4 norms.

However, the company would also need the government to improve the quality of fuel in the country for these engines to perform at their best.
