IAC splits into five bodies
IAC/InterActiveCorp has now split up into five independent bodies. The aim was to give each unit individual focus to enhance growth and revenues.
These five individual bodies are:
HSN Inc.
Interval Leisure Group Inc.
Ticketmaster
Tree.com Inc.
Ask.com
IAC
Ask.com is currently trading under the stock symbol IACID to comply with NASDAQ requirements. IAC would get back the original symbol after 20 days.
Gabelli & Co. analyst Christopher Marangi spoke about the company split: “Some investors have not been happy with the way that Diller has managed the company and so they might be more open to looking at the pieces he’s no longer associated with.”
