Buddhadeb Bhattacharya: Tata Nano would come out on schedule

The chief minister of West Bengal Buddhadeb Bhattacharya has said in a statement that Tata Nano would be launched as per its current schedule and the plant would not be closed in the state.

He stated: “If we give back 400 acres of land to farmers in Singur the Nano project will have to be scrapped.”

He has basically made it clear that the demands of the protesters cannot be met at this situation.

He also appealed to Mamata Bannerjee who is holding the protests against Tata to calm down and look at the reality of the situation.

Tata chairman Ratan Tata has already said that they would have no options but to move out of the state if the protests continue.
