GM India to launch a new small car next year

General Motors has revealed that they are working on launching a brand new small car in the Indian market sometime next year.

GM already has a small car in its offerings: Chevrolet Spark.

The company however clarified that this model would not be cheap enough to compete with Tata Nano which is expected to come out later this year.

GM said that this new model would be a global car which would be sold in several emerging markets.

It would feature design inputs from their Indian engineers. The company aims to achieve a 10% market share in the coming years in India.
