Immersion to pay Microsoft as part of settlement
Microsoft has sued Immersion claiming payments from the settlement it had with Sony in a patent related lawsuit.
Immersion has now agreed to pay the software giant $20.75 million.
The two companies said that they are happy to settle to put the litigation behind them.
Microsoft said that they were entitled to this payment due to their deal in which Microsoft became a sublicensor of certain patents Immersion held.
Immersion has also now become a member of Microsoft’s Certified Partner Program.
