BearingPoint opens up a division in Bangalore
BearingPoint is one of the world’s largest management and technology consultancy firm. The company has now announced their plans to establish a unit in the Indian IT city of Bangalore in Karnataka.
BearingPoint wants to tap into the huge pool of available talent in the region, which has already attracted some of the biggest IT companies in the world. They have already launched their Global Development Centre here.
BearingPoint executive vice-president Joni Kahn was in the city when he said in a statement that the Bangalore unit currently has strength of 100 employees. And this would be further increased 10-fold over the next couple of years.
However, he declined to reveal the amount of investments they plan to make in their Indian operations. Ms. Kahn said that the company has planned to invest significantly in their establishment in the Bangalore city over the next couple of years and they might even extend this to other parts of the country.
BearingPoint already has a presence in the Chennai city through their partnership with Covansys.
