Chrysler has big plans for the year 2010

US based automaker Chrysler has announced that they are planning to launch as many as seven major vehicle models in 2010.

The company added that they are also working on launching their electric cars not long after that year.

Chrysler added that they have been working hard on developing the technologies required for these electric models which are expected to become more commercially viable in the coming years.

Chrysler has been struggling along with Ford and GM in the US market due to falling sales. Customers’ choices are changing and smaller and more fuel efficient cars have become more popular.

GM, Ford too have been working on hybrids and electric cars as they aim to challenge the growing domination of Japanese automakers in the US market.
