General Motors to use Facebook for promotion in India
US based automaker GM is all set to launch their online Facebook community in the coming days.
This community would first target the Indian customers and would later be expanded to their other markets.
Gaurav Gupta, director marketing, GM India said in a statement: “To start with GM will launch the community in India and thereafter spread to our other geographies around the world.”
Facebook is one of the several popular social networking services in the Indian market.
The company is also planning to expand their marketing spending on digital media.
GM further said that they have till now sold more than 2,500 units of its premium SUV model Chevrolet Captiva in the Indian market since its launch earlier this year.
