Karnataka offers 1,000 acres of land to Tata for Nano
Tata Motors has said that they are in talks with the Karnataka government which has offered them 1000 acres of land to move their Nano plant from West Bengal.
Tata has been facing problems in Bengal where the opposition party is demanding that Tata return back some of the land which was provided to them from farmers.
Karnataka is offering Tata all the required facilities if they are ready to setup their plant in the state.
Tata said that they are happy to receive this offer but they are yet to take a decision.
The company has already invested close to around 350 million dollars into the West Bengal plant. They have also received similar offers from other states as well.
Tata still aims to launch the Nano model in October this year. They might begin limited manufacturing in another of their plant for the launch.
