Microsoft announces mega buy back of shares
Software giant Microsoft has announced that they are now going to buy back another 40 billion dollars of its shares.
The company said that the process would continue till 2013. Microsoft has already completed their previously announced 40-billion-dollar stock repurchase program.
Microsoft also announced a quarterly dividend of 13 cents a share.
Chris Liddell, chief financial officer of Microsoft spoke about these new developments: “These announcements illustrate our confidence in the long-term growth of the company and our commitment to returning capital to our shareholders.”
Market analyst Philip Schrank added: “The ratings on Microsoft reflect the company’s excellent operating performance and financial profile.”
