Renault establishes Renault Design India in Mumbai

Renault is pretty serious about the Indian market. They are involved in several major collaborative projects in India and the company has now established their own design center in Mumbai.

This new center is now part of the company’s network of design centers across the globe. Their other design centers are located in Barcelona, Paris, Kihueng, Sao Paolo and Bucharest.

Renault said that this new center would work on projects for Mahindra Renault and their models aimed for the Indian market.

Renault Design India currently has strength of 16 employees. They are going to increase it to around 20 to 25 employees in the future.

The major project with this center is the upcoming ultra low cost car which Renault is developing in partnership with Bajaj.
