Freescale Semiconductor considering sale of cell phone business
Freescale Semiconductor has said that they are now considering selling off their cell phone business.
They are considering several options including selling, a joint venture with another company.
The company used to be part of Motorola at one time which itself is struggling in the mobile market.
Motorola is one of their biggest customers in the mobile phone segment. Freescale is likely to remain a supplier to them.
