Tata Motors confirms exit from Singur
Tata Motors has now confirmed that they are moving out of Singur West Bengal.
The final decision was made after a meeting between Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata met West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.
The meeting was also attended by Tata Motors’ managing director Ravi Kant.
Tata is now expected to finalize the new location for Tata Nano plant in the next couple of days.
Karnataka and Gujarat are the two states which are strong candidates for the plant.
The decision could delay the launch of Nano though company hopes to launch it from their existing plants in other states.
