Tata to take decision on Nano plant relocation by next week
It is confirmed now that Tata Nano would not be manufactured in West Bengal.
Tata has received invitations from several states and they are likely to take a decision by next week.
The company has little time. They have to launch the car soon and they need to get the production started as soon as possible.
Karnataka is one of the states which has invited Tata to setup the plant in their state. Karnataka state industries minister Murugesh Nirani spoke about the developments: “Kant told the chief minister a decision to relocate the integrated plant near Dharwad or in other states would be communicated to him by next week. He also assured the chief minister a meeting with Tata.”
