Tata Nano might be manufactured in Gujarat
Reports in the media states that Gujarat seems to have won the Tata’s heart to setup their plant for their Nano car.
Tata has been looking for a new destination after they confirmed their decision to move from Singur in West Bengal.
Several states have sent their invitations to the company with big promises.
News sources say that Gujarat government has already begun acquiring land for the plant. The plot seems to be located near Charodi in Ahmedabad.
Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka are two other states which are working hard to attract Tata to setup their plant in their state. Even Jharkhand and Haryana have shown interest.
It remains to be seen if the reports are correct. Tata is expected to make an official announcement in the coming days.
