Yahoo could be close to acquiring AOL assets
Yahoo might have just managed to escape getting acquired by Microsoft. Market sources are now hinting that the company is now nearing a deal with Time Warner to acquire content assets of AOL.
Yahoo spokesman Brad Williams however declined to comment on the reports: “It’s rumors and speculation, which we don’t comment on.”
AOL too has declined to comment on the reports.
Yahoo is said to be interested in acquiring the AOL content business which would give it more pages to run their advertising on.
They of course have no interest in the dialup internet services provided by AOL in the US market.
