EchoStar pays up to TiVo in patent infringement case

TiVo has said in a statement that they have now received the $104.6 million as directed by the courts from EchoStar.

This payment is related to a patent infringement case that went in favor of the company earlier this month.

The case was related to the TiVo’s “Time Warp” software which enabled the user to record a program while watching another one.

TiVo said that they are expecting more damages from the lawsuit. A ruling is still pending in Texas.
