Tata Nano faces more problems in Gujarat

Tata just continues to face more problems with the establishment of their Nano plant.

The company received good support from the Gujarat government which arranged for the land quickly for their upcoming plant in the region.

However, the opposition party in the state, Congress has now filed a request to get the details signed between the two under the Right To Information (RTI) Act.

Congress said that they want to know the details of the deal to find out if the people of the state were being ripped off by the government.

Congress spokesperson Arjun Modhvadia said: “We have made an application under the RTI Act to get details of the deal signed between the government and the Tatas. We have asked for details of the incentives being given to the company for setting up the Nano Car plant. As an opposition party, we should have got the details of agreement, but this government has not given us any information on the deal. So we had to resort to RTI. At least, we are assured to get some answer within 30 days.”
