GM to lay off 1,500 hourly workers
US based automaker GM has announced that they are now going to lay off 1,500 hourly workers.
These jobs would be cut at their plants in Michigan and Delaware.
These plants build the company’s pickup trucks, large cars and a two-seat roadster.
GM said that they have to cut these jobs as demand for these vehicles are low.
The latest round of job cuts involve 700 workers at a Pontiac, Michigan, assembly plant in addition to 400 each at plants in Hamtramck, Michigan, and Wilmington, Delaware.
GM is struggling in their home market as customers now prefer to buy fuel efficient Japanese cars.

People always hate to talk about when they are laid off. But as it has become every day’s news headline since Yahoo started it with cutting 1500 of its task force last year, now a need of platform has been in demand where people can express their selves in words how they are feeling about their company, whey the got laid off was that justified or not.
And every thing they want to tell anonymously. And layoffgossip.com is providing you that platform.
