Nike sues Wal-Mart for Patent Infringement
Nike does not sell its products in Wal-Mart as they believe it would devalue their brand.
The company has however sued the US based retailing giant for patent infringement.
Nike is claiming that Wal-Mart is selling shoes which resemble their patented designs and technologies.
The company claims that some models of shoes being sold on Wal-Mart too closely resemble its Nike Shox footwear.
They are asking the courts to direct Wal-Mart to stop selling these products in their stores. They are also seeking damages.
Wal-Mart has refused to comment on this lawsuit.
