Mahindra & Mahindra brings micro-hybrid technology to Scorpio and Bolero
Indian automaker Mahindra has announced the new variants of Scorpio and Bolero which comes equipped with micro-hybrid technology.
These models are priced between Rs 6.5 lakh and Rs 6.97 lakh.
Mahindra has developed this technology in collaboration with Bosch. These new variants offer an average fuel saving of about five per cent compared to their regular variants.
The technology incorporated in these vehicles is designed to turn the engine off when the vehicle is in idle or neutral gear.
The engine automatically restarts once the driver presses the clutch.
Mahindra added that they have also applied for a patent for a technology used in these vehicles.
