Left Front: Tata has to return back land in Singur

Left Front has stated that they want Tata to return back the land which was allotted to them for their Tata Nano project.

After facing problems from the opposition party, Tata recently decided to move the plant from West Bengal to Gujarat.

Left Front has now asked the West Bengal government to take the control of land back from Tata.

They also want the government to establish alternative commercial projects on that land.

Left Front chairman Biman Bose said in a statement: “We have asked the state government to go ahead in setting up alternative industries at Singur.”

The government has already announced that the land would not be returned back to farmers.
