Netflix Inc. and TiVo Inc. collaborating
After Microsoft Xbox 360, Netflix is now collaborating with TiVo.
The two companies are collaborating to bring more media content to their subscribers.
TiVo subscribers would be able to stream movies from Netflix catalog.
This service would start in December this year.
Netflix said that the collaboration was delayed as they could not get into agreement with the media companies for streaming content over the internet.
Now that has been done, they are getting into deals for streaming movies and other media over the internet.
Reed Hastings, Netflix’s chief executive officer spoke about this new development: “It’s just a natural pairing and we are thrilled to finally be working with them.”
TiVo CEO Tom Rogers added: “I don’t think there is any question we have gotten more frequently than, `What about TiVo and Netflix working together?’”
