IBM files a lawsuit to prevent an executive join Apple

IBM has filed a lawsuit against one of their employee Mark Papermaster who is leaving the company to join Apple.

IBM states that Mark Papermaster was in charge of their blade server business. He had signed a non-compete agreement with IBM that bars him from joining a rival company for a period of one year after leaving IBM.

The US based tech giant added that Papermaster had been one of its top 300 managers who has access to company’s intellectual property and trade secrets.

Fred McNeese, director of IBM’s corporate media relations group added that his joining Apple is in violation of his earlier contract with IBM.

IBM aims to pursue this case with the sole intention of preventing his joining Apple.
