PepsiCo to invest heavily in China
PepsiCo has announced that they are going to invest heavily in Chinese market in the coming years.
The US based giant is going to invest $1 billion in China over the next four years.
This would be part of their global strategy to expand their operations in emerging markets.
The company said that these funds would be used to grow their business in interior and western areas.
Company CEO Indra Nooyi said in a statement: “This is our largest investment in China in the nearly 30 years we have been doing business here, and it is consistent with our broader global strategy of investing in high-growth developing markets.”
PepsiCo did not clarify whether they plan to build more plants in China.
