IBM offering scholarships for researchers in India

IBM India has announced that they would soon launch a program that would provide scholarships to students who want to pursue a career in research to study in leading technical institutions in the country.

The company aims to boost the number of researchers available in the market.

IBM India Research Laboratory Associate Director Manish Gupta spoke about this upcoming initiative: “We will roll out the Blue Scholar program in our India Research Center. We will induct graduates and post graduates from IITs and IISc and train them for a career in research.”

IBM has not revealed on how many students they intend to take in through this program.

Gupta added: “They will work closely with global research teams in top university labs, publish papers and engage in a challenging atmosphere that stimulates these collaborations to pursue breakthrough thinking mixed with scientific rigor.”
