Satyam acquires Motorola’s unit in Malaysia
Satyam Computer Services has announced that they are acquiring Motorola’s software development center located in Malaysia.
The company said that they would absorb the center’s 128 employees. They are also taking control of units assets as part of the deal.
Satyam Technology Infrastructure business unit head Nishith Mathur added on this deal: “This strategic acquisition will integrate and strengthen Satyam’s product engineering services to network equipment providers and operators in the areas of element management, mobile solutions, and access networks.”
Motorola continues its struggle in the mobile market space where they are increasingly losing market share to rivals including Samsung and Nokia.
