British Telecom announces job cuts
British Telecom has become the latest telecom company to announce a major job cut.
The company is axing 10,000 jobs by March 2009.
BT has just posted their latest revenue report and they have reported that its pre-tax profits slumped by 11 per cent in the first six months of the current year.
BT said that this job cut announcement would affect agency and contract staff and offshore workers.
The company added that they admit that their performance has been disappointing and they are taking steps to fix the problems in their operations.
