Fiat India has sold 41 Fiat 500 since launch

Fiat India revealed that they have sold in the market 41 units of Fiat 500 since its launch in the Indian market.

Fiat 500 is a fully imported model and it is priced at around Rs. 15 lakhs.

The company added that they are now going to export engines from their Indian plants starting next year.

Fiat’s Indian plants have a capacity to manufacture 3.33 lakh engines a year. This is more than what they require in the Indian market.

So they are now going to use the excess capacity to manufacture engines for export purposes.

Their plants manufacture three types of engines: 1.3 liter Multijet diesel, 1.2 liter FIRE petrol and 1.4 liter FIRE petrol.
