Maruti Suzuki cuts production as demand is low

Maruti Suzuki has cut some production at their plants located in Gurgaon.

The company had to took this step as the demand in the market is low.

They are now going to reduce the production of some models like Alto, Wagon R, and Zen Estilo.

This company plant has a production capacity of 700,000 cars in two shifts.

Mayank Pareek, Executive Officer (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki said in a statement on these new developments: “In the beginning of the year, we had a growth projection of around 10 per cent up to December. As the auto industry slowed, we revised that target to five per cent. Thus, the production cuts at the Gurgaon plant is to that extent.”

The company however faces no problems in the sales of their other models including Maruti Swift, Maruti Swift DziRE. They have just launched the A-Star.
