John Garcia leaving Sprint Nextel

US based telecom service provider Sprint Nextel has revealed that John Garcia is leaving the company.

John Garcia is the president of their CDMA business.

A company representative confirmed that he stepped down from his position in the company yesterday.

No reasons are given for his decision to leave the company.

Sprint has announced that Keith Cowan, the company’s president of strategy and corporate development would take care of his division till they find a suitable replacement.

Sprint Nextel has been struggling in the US market due to enhanced competition.

AT&T has exclusive rights to the Apple iPhone which has become the best selling mobile phone in the US market.

Sprint has failed to find a decent competitor to the Apple iPhone 3G to avoid losing customers to AT&T.
