Palm latest to cut jobs
Struggling smartphone maker Palm has revealed that they have fired some employees in order to cut costs.
The company did not reveal how many employees were let go.
Palm spokesperson said in a statement: “It’s generally the result of challenges facing the company and the industry, and better positions us to achieve profitability and long-term growth.”
The company had around 1,050 employees at the end of May this year.
Palm is struggling in the mobile phone market as Apple, RIM and Samsung are taking away market share from the top companies.
