Jaguar Land Rover might be the next to announce massive job cuts
Reports in the market claim that Jaguar Land Rover is likely to announce a major job cut initiative in the coming days.
The reports quoted JLR Chief Executive David Smith saying that the UK car industry would probably require large scale redundancies.
Jaguar Land Rover has incidentally already announced 600 voluntary redundancies this year.
He added: “I hope demand picks up so we don’t have to make any more.”
UK auto market too has been struggling in the recent times. Car production in the country has fallen 25 per cent as consumers are just not buying enough new cars due to weakening economic conditions.
