HTC acquires design firm One & Co.

HTC is one of the leading smartphone makers in the world.

They have now announced their decision to acquire San Francisco based design firm One & Co.

The value of this acquisition deal has not been revealed.

HTC said that this newly acquired entity would retain its brand name and it would continue to work for existing clients.

Incidentally, HTC and One & Co. have already been working together for some years now.

They have together worked on the HTC Touch Diamond mobile phone which is targeted at the Apple iPhone 3G.

Market analysts say that HTC needs better designs to become a worthy challenger to the iPhone as people tend to avoid high end features to go for better looking products.
